2 Weeks... ...In Short...

Been two weeks since the last update... lotsa things happened but have been lazy :P... ... Since I'm waiting for my maple character to recover his life (currently hunting bubbling for fish spear), I thought I'll just take this opportunity to write something.

Big big thing that happened on 10th Jan was Soundsez retreat. Collected cake for YX early in the morning and went for a gym session. The retreat was fun, and as usual was laughing non-stop, especially the "Titanic" part. Why do I always have to play the lousy role? Lol... This time thanks to my 'dept' colleague SY. Luckily CL was sporty enough to play through the stuff, very "paisei"... ... The KTV session was very fun too. Especially the JS + JJ... ... oh... ... it's Soundsez version of 双'J'恋, haha... ...

Went back for my 1st session of vocal lesson that Sat. As usual YX was very good and taught me alot of stuff. And went for lunch with ZY at the street behind Bugis Junction for Taiwan's Beef Noodle. Yummy... Suppose to do shopping but ended up going to Carrefour and bought chocolates. After which met up with SJ and XF for dinner at Sushi Tei, Holland branch to discuss our overseas trip to Bangkok.

This week was a lazy week cuz I didn't exercise at all as DS was busy with work and so no gym. Stayed at home to play maple. Yesterday was the 1st choir session for the year. Some new changes but didn't really agree with some of it. Nevertheless, hope that there wil lbe great progress for us this year!

2nd vocal lesson today. I realize that I have alot of bad habits to change. Must practise hard, else will damage my vocal cords in the long term. Met up with AL and taught him autocad at BB mac. Pray I didn't teach him wrong stuff (wrong also duon't find me k? lol) :P

Not short enough? lol... ... ok la, 2 weeks ma :D

Another Holiday!

Yea tomorrow is another holiday again! Wow... how I just love January. I've been working for 3 days per week for 3 weeks consecutively! Haha... ... So slack, almost am a pig now :P

But I finally started my training for IPPT. Although it's only been one week, I think I can start doing the aerobic exercises now - RUNNING! I HATE running, no words can describe how much I hate it. Why is running a part of IPPT and not swimming? I'm a frog (web feet), so I can only swim. Try telling a frog to run on the land and see what happens, it's unfair! No 天理... ... An-aerobic exercise are quite steady now, have increeased from 3 to 5 sets of exercise, and 4 to 7 types of exercises. So now it's the running part. Haiz... ... Someone save me... ... 救救救救救命命命命命啊啊啊啊啊~~~~!

Resumed my tanning sessions and got a haircut at Chapter 2. Quite exp sia, $35. But I think it's worth it cuz I've not been so satisfied with my hairstyle for a very long time. Seems like I very 自恋, haha... ... But I just want to look presentable now, since I can afford it. Wouldn't like to wait till I'm old then start to complain I wasted my youth (although I'm not very young also now) and start to wear all the hawaii flower prints :D

Was conversing with YS thru sms on bus today after my haircut. She told me tat she has decided not to attend the ktv session tml cause no other JJC gals are going. Well I expected it cuz I didn't think Lingz they all got invite them. Anyways, good luck to her for the solo performance. We'll get to sing a duet next time k? Lotsa chance :D

Tomorrow is Soundsez retreat! Looking forward to laughing till asthma :P Actually suppose to play board games b4 the retreat but ended up everyone wants to go to the gym because I say so. Now 5 big boys going to gym together, feel so weird haha... ... And night got ktv session to help Yanxing celebrate an early birthday. Hope got leftover cakes so can have a smashing time :D

Gotta sleep now. Wonder what "J" is doing? ... ... hmmm ... ...

Some updates on the website, here was the very initial concept layout for the main page...

Still a conceptualization only which I sent out to the others. Thanks to SY and Lingz for the help and comments :D

It Was A Great Night...

Wow it was a great night! Went to Chinatown to enjoy the atmosphere with "J" yesterday night. We met at 4pm and realize the light up won't start till 7pm. Ended up sitting in Swensens at Chinatown Point to have ice-cream. Shared a Sizzling Apple Crumble Pie, not bad.

At around 6:15pm, we decided to go to the scene early so as to grab a good view. But we realized that the scene was already so crowded. And so unluckily, when we crossed the road and walked till the People's Park Center side, we realized that the stage was facing the other side of the road!?!? So we had to walked back all the way to Chinatown Point (cause that was the only shortest possible way due to the crowd and road blocks) and went down the street to arrive at the scene which was already crowded with aunties and uncles. These aunties and uncles made me really "du lan" when they try to squeeze infront of us. I mean, it's like everyone wants a good view, but since they arrive later, it didn't made sense to me that I should excuse them and let them through. Anyways, since they all old people, I didn't bother to argue.

What was funny was "J" was rather short and she wanted to take pictures of the stage event (her idol is LKY) but with her height and old camera which couldn't zoom far enough, we only managed to take miserable pictures (I admit I'm short too so those that I took were more or less 'sama sama'... lol).

We decided to leave the scene immediately after the light up (in order to avoid the crowd going home together later) and had dinner at PS foodcourt. After which we went to shop for CNY clothes. She couldn't get anything while I got a sweater unusable for CNY haha...

Had coffee at TCC outside PS and talked all the way till midnight. Lotsa laughter and funny stuff. It was a great and enjoyable day for me. Hope she enjoyed as well :P

Doesn't this sound like some old secondary school composition? Lol... ...

Spring Cleaning

Chinese New Year is around the corner. For the most, it's 红包 collection time but for me... it means SPRING CLEANING!!!

As these tiny 3rm hdb flat houses just me and my mum, I'm "lucky" to get all the dirty work (mum has an excuse for being old >_<). On the tour of cleaning, there are all the yucks and yikes from different type of specimens and... ... what else? Dust... ... Here's a list of top 10 "hits"... ... 1) Dust - ... ...What else? Found anywhere... ...

2) Cockroach (Dead or Alive, Big or Small) - Some fly, some don't (apparent not the dead ones). They create a state of "national emergency" and stampede. Found behind furniture & in drawers.

3) Cockroach Eggs and Faeces - These aren't real problems cuz they don't stick. I usually just pick them up with toilet paper.

4) Lizards' Faeces - These are the more annoying type cause they stick to high places which I have to climb up to clean, plus they leave a mark on the spot they stick to. Found on ceilings and corners.

5) Gnats - These little flies are those that always surround the banana when it's over-riped. They fly at mach speed and likes to irritate you by flying into your nose or mouth when you try to shoo them away. Found in my bathroom (don't ask my why but I think it's because of the sewage hole)

6) Dust + Oil - This is another one of the most irritating things to clean. What happens is that the oil fumes from cooking gets on the dust and they become sticky and difficult to clean. Have to use 'UIC Sof Scrub', a strong acidic solution to remove this... oh... I think this combination is called grime? Found in kitchen and anyplace near it.

7) Sand - It's just sand.

8) "Flying" ants + their eggs - Those that fly in after rainy days and goes into a lunatic air display at anything bright in your house. Comes in swarms. Found inside the lamp covers.

9) Ant's Nest - This is one that makes my hair stand on the tips. Usually happens beneath or under drawers that are not opened regularly. You have to "fountain" insecticide on them and clean up with toilet paper later (they stick cause of the insecticide, cannot sweep).

10) Mum - Not really something I'll find but something I'll recieve. Why do women likes to ask you to do something and you have to do it EXACTLY the way they want it to? It's absurb! If they want it so, do it themselves else please leave us men alone! :D

Somemore cleaning needs to be done. Hope I don't fall out of the windows.... Choy! Touch Wood... ...

Website, Website... ...

It's almost 4am and I'm blogging.

I was "ordered" by Claire to submit the design for the Soundsez website by 2359hrs on 060106. Having not been able to hand it up on time, I pleaded for an extension. Now I'm supposed to hand it up by 080106, 2359hrs.

Two more days of hell... ...

I had no idea to start with so was trying to "get some ideas" from other websites. After finishing the entry page (unconfirmed), I had trouble doing the 1st page of the website. Damn... I really have no idea in mind (>_<)... ... Suddenly remembered I'm in this together with SY. found him on msn and tried to squeeze our brains for ideas. It's dry by now... ... Thanks for the help SY :D Going to see the "light-up" at chinatown tomorrow with friend "J". Looking forward to it.

Website? Who cares... ... haha... ...

I've Been Listening To... ...

Quite some time since I posted anything on albums so here are a few that tide me through the exams and work... ...

元卫觉醒: 幸福下载

This was an album which I never expect myself to listen to due to the lack of publicity for being a not so lime light band. Anyways, the album was a totally new experience to me, an extension of rock from listening to Beck's Album then. It really cheers up your mood with the funny (yet realistic) lyrics and light hearted rhythm. Makes me younger a few years, haha... *Recommend Tracks: 4, 6 and 10

蔡淳佳: 有一天我会

I'm no doubt a local supporter (minus the "cockroach" beating singer...etc), so I try to listen to even the not so popular picks. She no doubt has an easy to differentiate voice and good techniques as well from her Ark Lounge Base. But I personally feel that that is also the problem of her albums. The songs are soothing, not too strong on any aspects. If any, it will most closely resemble older chinese pop. I like her voice though, maybe she just hadn't has the luck to get a great producer. Anyways, the album is great for nights and relaxation. *Recommend Tracks: 3, 7 and 9.

张敬轩: a.m./p.m (香港特别版)

This was another one of my "try it out" albums. Being not very famous locally, he is fairly famous in China clinching two consecutive years of most welcome male artist. Attracted to him from the early songs such as "My Way" till the recent "无能为力", I attempted to listen to this full album. The first half of the album (A.M) was rather ok, with a nice intro. The second half (P.M) was too much for me to comtemplate. It's a combination of electric pop and hmm.... new age? Couldn't get into it no matter how hard I tried. So I only listened to the first half of the album and the last track "Blessing" which I like alot... haha. *Recommend Tracks: 5, 6 and 12.

孙燕姿: 完美的一天

Another local favourite. No doubt her career has taken leaps and bounds since her 1st album. Her new album presents much more surprise than her previous one. I like every song of it. Less pop, more bite, less conventional. There's just something to her voice that captures each song well. Some might not agree, but nevertheless, this is one of her albums that I like since her 1st one. *Recommend Tracks: 4 and 7

梁静茹: 丝路 - 通往爱的路途

I listened to this album at a later date although it came out before Stephanie's album. Reason so was because I was dampened by the songs I heard on tv which were used for the local drama serials. Its like picture+sound effect, the picture ruined the sound, lol... Luckily I overheard the song "我还记得" on radio (not used for any local drama serial) and was once again captivated to listen to the album. The album proved to be quite pleasant. Although it followed the previous one where its rock+romantic ballads (so there was not much surprise), but I still like the way she handles the songs. If anyone was affected by the drama serials like me, I hope you will give this album a second chance. Its really good (although I still didn't like Track 1, haha). *Recommend Tracks: 2, 6 and 7.

Graduation Day 17 Dec 05

My family. Thanks to my cousin who came all the way from Johore.

My classmates and lecturers

Graduation Day! Thanks to all my friends who visited :D

Here and There, This and That... ...

Woke up a little late today. Was suppose to wake up at 7:30am but got up at 7:36am. Fast marched to the bus stop, got the bus, topped up my ezlink card and came to work, everything was done in mach speed... ... Now writing this post (boss not around, haha) :p

Got an sms reminder the other morning. It read: You are reminded to PASS your IPPT before your next birthday. You should book your IPPT now if you have not done so... ...etc.

I recalled that I was supposed to go for my 1st ICT in late Feb and I have not taken my IPPT for this work year. Went to miw.com and booked a date early Feb. Now, it's time to start training. OMG... I hate running... But having sitting around for 1 yr not exercising, my waistline is growing to the size of a barrel, waving triceps (the other way round) and climbing up a flight of stairs is like going to Mount Everest. I guess its high time I take notice of my health, even if I hate to exercise.

Was chatting with YS 2 days ago about June leaving JJC Choir. Seems like she's much more composed now. She left a touching post on her blog though. I remember we had a conversation on money being the center of everybody life nowadays. Maybe I have not reach that stage of life where I have to take up much responsibilities yet, but I had a sudden crazy thought of: What if currency was never invented? From counters to ingots to the current paper money, it contains a valuable history to note.

Money is good for everything; to be beautiful, to have friends (well some may not agree to this but I think it is true to an extend because to me socializing=money), to eat, to drink and even to shit (in some public toilets) needed money.

How much more can we be controlled by the $ sign? I just hope that the earth don't revolve around money and more kindness from people can really do some magic.

Boss back... ... "Stormy Weather"... Better get back to work

Getting On With Life

Merry Christmas! Performance at One Fullerton. (I was the spectator :D)

Hi to everyone out there! I guess each and everyone of you must be thinking that this blog has gone to the graveyard, but (as Jianfa foresees) haha... ... I'm back :D
If anyone have been reading my blog back then ( i suppose you wouldn't remember now even if you did, haha), you would have noticed that my life is always, school, work and more school and more work... ... I found that there was really nothing much to write about... ... So I decided to stop writing and get on with life. Especially since now I have graduated (Hooray! Well sort of anyways cause although I went through the graduation ceremony but am actually still awaiting the convocation)... ... and am getting back to my life, I have more things to share, so its a good time to start writing again... ...

So much for excuses :P

Anyways, I'm very glad to have finish my degree, hoping to get a place for honors which I will have to fly to Perth for it if the application goes through, I'm busy now getting to the title of this blog, Dreams... This time really resuming my vocal lessons full-time and also my piano lessons soon. Hoping to start music arrangement too... ...
Been running to choir these 2 weeks for practices for the JJC grad nite which turned out to be really fun and enjoyable. Although it seemed crazy, I managed to learn 3 new songs + 2 dance choreography in a week and performed. Luckily no big mistakes on that day (else June will be screaming) and it was worth the effort. Thanks to Claire for recommending me to use a piano score program to play out the tune, else I would never have been able to do it in such a short time. Also thanks to my partner YinSing, my tenor section, June and anyone else who helped :D
Performance at East Point Shopping Mall was cool too, except the crowd was stingy with the clapping and the it was the 1st time I performed a song by learning it on the spot,

Quite a craze. (well actually I smoked through it, don't ask me how I did it :P)

What went worse was with June, who happened to be touchy that day due to her migraine, growing to the peak with the absence of Claire who was in "coma", which in turn had her tackling on the issue of changing duets (unfortunately I was in this, all "THANKS" to HR), and the bad acoustics for Blue Moon. Finally, everything erupted when she broke the news to the JJC gals at the end of the show but luckily, it soothen all the tensions for that day and the mall did not get flooded by singapore's small version of the "Yellow River"... ...
Soundsez is undergoing the Golden Vote again... ... Hope I get something EZ this time... ... (June and YX is going to get me for this) haha... ...
